What sizes of toothpaste are allowed to take in my cabin bag?
Regular size for a toothpaste is 100 ml (3.4 oz) which is completely fine to take onboard with you. Please make sure not to buy larger size toothpaste that is over 100 ml.
Popular toothpaste brands such as Colgate, Sensodyne, Blend-a-Med or Aquafresh have also 75 ml toothpastes for sale - which will easily fit in your liquid bag.
However we advice to buy a 25 ml toothpaste (travel size) which is most convenient for travellers and should be available in most supermarkets.
I want to travel for a few weeks. How long will my toothpaste last?
Considering that you bought a 25 ml toothpaste (0.85 oz), it should be enough for 2 weeks per person (when brushed 2 times a day).
Regular size toothpaste will most likely last for 4 weeks if used by two adults.
If you take 75 ml in your cabin bag, it should last for and your travel partner for approximately 3 weeks
We suggest using your toothpaste economically to make it last longer.
As toothpaste is a relatively cheap item, instead of packing it in your carry on luggage you can buy it at your destination place so you can spare some space in your liquid bag.
Please note that half-used 150 ml toothpaste still counts as 150 ml, not 75 and will not pass the security screening.
Are there restrictions about flying with other toiletries?
Besides toothpaste, almost all other cosmetics are treated as liquid - so remember to stick too 100ml limit - especially with hairspray
Please remember that lipstick is also considered as liquid, so please remember to pack it into the 20cm x 20 cm bag
Same rule applies to:
- nail polish remover
- and liquid highlither
However, you don't have to pack powdered highlighter or eye shadow into your liquid bag
